Data from: Paediatric tuberculosis at the Papua New Guinea/Australia border [Chapter 6 PhD Thesis]

This dataset consists of:

  • 1 SPSS (.sav) file used to determine whether patients diagnosed with TB locally, would also have been diagnosed with TB using the Keith Edwards TB Score, the Union Desk Guide, and the new World Health Organization (WHO) Paediatric TB algorithm. All variables are in binary form or score-based unless otherwise specified. Includes demographic data, and clinical features suggestive of TB
  • 1 README (.txt) with details to Determing the WHO score. 

Data files are also saved in csv. format

Study population: Papua New Guinea nationals aged <14 years who presented to a Primary Health Centre in the Torres Strait Protected Zone between 2016 and 2019 with presumptive TB.

Software/equipment used to store/analyse the data: SPSS

Once access to the data has been obtained via negotiation with the Data Manager, use of the dataset is governed by the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 licence.

Note: The Data Manager may release age-related data in 5-year intervals to researchers, contingent upon consultation to establish research specifications and obtaining ethics approval.
