Data for: Chorusing patterns and environmental drivers of an Australian tropical savanna frog community

This data record contains the data for the publication "Chorusing patterns and environmental drivers of an Australian tropical savanna frog community".
The data set 'HerveyRange_frog_chorus_rawdata' includes data on the nightly chorusing activity (measured as minutes of chorusing detected) of 17 species of frogs at Hervey Range, Queensland, Australia, from 4/10/12 - 27/04/14 collected from analysis of sound recordings made at breeding sites. This data was used to generate Figures 2, 3, 4 and 6, and used to derive data for random forest analysis.
The data set 'HerveyRange_weather_aggregated' is data on several weather variables aggregated from 3-hourly weather obtained from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology for the study period. The data set also includes moon illumination fraction obtained from the US Naval Observatory, and the number of day light hours for each day in the study period. This data was used to generate Figures 5 and 6, and also used to derive the data for random forest analysis.
The data set 'HerveyRange_frogchorus_weather' is data derived from the above two data sets and contains data on the frog chorus activity at each site and environmental conditions for each night in the study period. This data was used in a random forest analysis to investigate the influence of environmental conditions on the chorusing activity of frog populations.
